when everything becomes unlimited

UNLIMITED is now the trend that consumers are looking for. i guess it all started with the bottomless drinks that some of the restaurants offer. it was followed by the "eat-all-you-can" promo where you have to pay a certain amount and you can eat all the food that tey serve until you get bloated. then emerged the "unlimited rice" that suddenly became a hit to students, young professionals and almost everyone who can't help but order another serving of hot-steamed rice.

And of course, the most popular nowadays among all the unlimited products: the Call and Text Unlimited. this promo was started by Sun Cellular which has gained them lots of subscribers. i myself bought a Sun simpack to enjoy their promo. almost all of my friends had already subscribed with the said network. although there are times where you really need to have patience in dialling and sending text messages because their network is either busy or worst, the network connection is unavailable. but it's ok for people like us who wants to update on each other's lives despite the distance.

Months after the unlimited promo was made public, other cellphone network companies made their own version of the unlimited call and text. it's funny though because at first they were protesting about the said promo, because according to them it was like stealing their subscribers. that' why it's called competition because it is the consumer's decision which network to choose or what service/product to patronize. it is within the company's control on how they will improve their product so as to market it in a way that the customers will be delighted and satisfied with the kind of service/product that they are offering. in the end, both parties will benefit from each other.

ok, enough of this. i still have to call my friend with my Sun sim. it's already scheduled :)

sino-sino kaya sila?

i've been visiting my friendster account lately and i noticed that they already had this somewhat counter on who viewed your account. my account has already been viewed 25 times since march 01, 2005, and my friends were somehow amazed because their profile were only viewed less than 10 times. i just tell them jokingly: "pangit man gud inyong pictures, walay interesado mutan-aw (hehehe)". i wonder who these people are. i hope they would come up with a feature that will show the people who viewed your account...hehehe, wala lang naintriga lang ako.

shet, summer na!

one of my most favorite time of the year. i wonder how my summer would be this year? hmmm...i think it's gonna be a beach season for me. why? because my weekend plans are focused on beach trips. actually, i already started it last sunday (march 27) with my hi-school friends. we celebrated Easter at Paradise Island Beach Resort (Samal). the weather was great because it was a bit cloudy and we were spared from the scorching heat of the sun. hehehe...that's a big thing for people like us who are afraid of having sun burnt skin and are somewhat obsessed with skin whitening products. although we felt the sun's presence at noon time, the heat was bearable and we still managed to maintain our normal complexion. talk about vanity!

most of my weekends are scheduled for beach outings. i plan to go back to Paradise for an overnight with my officemates. i'm not just so sure if this would push through since everybody is busy with work and i find it very tiring to spend our rest day swimming. there are also plans of having a day tour at Pearl Farm with my family. i'm just crossing my fingers that these plans would be made possible.

by the way, how could i forget our upcoming trip to Boracay that was planned a long time ago. i'm sure there'll be lots of fun and adventures that awaits us. shet! i don't wanna get "overly-excited" with the trip because someone or something might just burst my bubble. puhleez, give me a break! i'm gonna be a freakin' beach bum this april!

bawal daw?

the department concerned with internet connections in the office wouldn't allow me to have access to the internet. bakit? kasi bawal daw...ok fine! after sometime, they had my computer connected to the net but i need to have a password first to be able to connect...anak ka ng pusher! if that was the case, hindi na lang sana nila kinonek yung computer ko, useless lang di ba? pero syempre may pagka hacker ako eh, hehehe...(my special talent not everybody knows), and with the help of my computer wizard officemate...tsaran!!! welcome to the world wide web! hehehe...connected na din ako sa wakas...kaya hindi na ako masyadong mabo-bored dito sa office..i have to end up this post because i still have lots of sites to explore.

fyi: sinulat ko ito nung may 18, 2003 (4:30 pm) habang naghihintay ako ng oras ng uwian. tambak ang trabaho ko ng mga panahong 'yun pero masyado pa akong pre-occupied sa mga pangyayaring naganap nung company outing namin sa camiguin. ano bang kinalaman ng camiguin sa poem na ito? wala naman, naalala ko lang kasi ang camiguin at malapit na rin ang summer. ito nga pala yung second poem na ginawa ko para dun sa lalaking mahilig kumain ng durian at ginamit pa ang Phil. Eagle sa kanyang pick-up line. nakita ko rin ang kopya matapos ang ilang oras na paghahalughog ko sa mga nagkalat na papel sa aking kwarto. buti na lang nagkaroon ng People Power holiday at nagkaroon ako ng oras para maglinis ng kwarto.

this is for the guy who loves to eat durian and uses the Phil. Eagle for his pick-up line. His one and only line that made my mouth shut for the rest of the day. wala akong naisagot sa sinabi nya because i wasn't so sure if it was just a joke. but even if it wasn't, i still don't know how i will react. kahit yung mga friends ko hindi rin nakapag-react. i was shocked because we were used to answer every joke that they throw at us but this one is an exception. one of my friends answered back after minutes of silence, but it was not the answer that i wanted to give. sinakyan ko na lang din para lang hindi ako matameme.

he texted me that night before their flight back to manila. hiningi nya pala ang # ko sa isa kong friend. wow naman, kung gaano kataas ang building ng Landco, feeling ko ganun din kahaba ang hair ko, hehehe...

saka lang ako nakaisip ng magandang sagot the day after it happened. shet! kung kelan bumalik na sya sa manila saka ko pa naisip ang dapat kong isagot...double shet! weeks after, nawala ang cellphone nya...triple shet! na-block ang sim ko...wwwaaaahhhh!! kung kelan ok na sana...akala ko talaga yun na, hindi pa pala...kung bakit kasi andaming hadlang!

p.s. dalawang poems ang ginawa ko para sa kanya, pero nawawala yung kopya ng isa kaya ito na lang muna ang pinost ko...i still have to find the other one. tamang-tama holiday bukas maglilinis ako ng kwarto...abangan!

konting trivia: i wrote this on feb. 15, 2001 (5pm) for my crush wayback in college. he was fond of joining AWITENISTA, a song writing competition in AdDU, and eventually won the grand prize. funny thing is that i don't know the lyrics of his winning piece, i even forgot the title of it. maybe you would ask kung crush ko talaga siya...oo naman, slight nga lang. pag ginawa nyang song itong poem na 'to baka maging "super crush" ko na sya, hehehe...but how could he turn this into a song if he doesn't even know i exist?

i'm thinking of posting some mushy stuff this coming feb. para naman bumagay sa occassion...but i'm thinking twice because it really sounds so corny, hehehe...pero pag-iisipan ko rin...i wrote it 2 years ago anyway, and hindi naman siguro nila mababasa yun. pero kng mabasa man nila hindi nila malalaman na sila yung mga taong involved dun, hehehe...kaya abangan nyo na lang!

...because i got high

/me I was gonna update my blog but then I got high…

lots of things and events happened last December that I wanna write in my blog but I haven’t had the time to do it.

my birthday. that day was really funny because nobody in the office knows that it’s my birthday. we were supposed to have practice for our christmas party presentation but i insisted to reschedule it because i said that i still have to buy gift eventhough i already bought it a week ago. hahaha, naisahan ko silang lahat!!!

christmas party. honestly, i didn’t enjoy it. imagine having your christmas party in one of the covert gay bars in the city. the place was exclusively reserved for our department but it was not a good choice of venue for parties like this. the food was not that good, the airconditioning system was out of order, the comfort rooms were poor, the music sucks, and some of my colleagues were so annoying. i ended up drinking sanmig light to quench my thirst after sweating a lot eventhough i was just sitting the entire night (thanks to the unconditioned aircon).oh, and before i forget, i need to mention their glasses which i suppose were lockedin their cupboard for like 48 years because it smells like cockroach and the drinks tastes like one too.

christmas vacation. i spent my Christmas and new year in davao, but the days in between were spent in batangas. i went there due to insistent public demand (hehehe…) i was the maid of honor during my Tita’s wedding. five days were not enough to satisfy me, considering that two days of it were spent in traveling from Davao-Manila-Batangas and vice versa.

on my second day, talagang nilubos ko na. We went to lipa and bought balisong keychains, the straw-licking palamig, a pack of kalihim bread and balut. wow, that was a treat!
